Highly Bonded Steel Overarm Separator Discs for Steel Coil Slitting Line
Production Application
Senda separator discs are widely used in steel coil slitting lines in conjunction with other slitting tools. These discs are mounted on the slitter machine’s shaft to facilitate the separation and guidance of narrow coils after slitting, allowing the materials to be rewound efficiently. As these discs undergo constant friction with metal coils, their abrasion resistance and surface finish must be of the highest standards to maintain their performance and longevity.

Material
The slitter separator discs Seton produced are generally made from AISI 52100(GCr15), 9CrSi, 1.2379(SKD-11) etc. The surface of separator disc is polished and chrome plated to improve its surface abrasion resistance and fineness.

Features
1.With surface polished and chrome plated, the surface hardness HRC≥60, and the smoothness ≤0.01mm.
2.The overall hardness of the separator disc is HRC60-64, with the abrasion resistance remarkably enhanced.

Advantages
1.Our separating discs are made of highly bonded steel that can guarantee maximum resistance to wear and lateral stresses.
2.Very important for proper strip separation after cutting and rewinding, they also help to dampen the noise caused by the strips rubbing.
3.Chromed, polished or coated in Tin PVD, our separators can be drilled for mounting on automatic or manual positioning systems.
4.Liquid nitrogen -196degree cold treatment ensure the hardness and toughness
