Durable Overarm Separator Discs for Steel Coil Slitting Lines

These overarm separator discs—also known as guide discs—play a vital role in steel coil slitting operations. Installed on the shaft of the slitting machine, they help guide and separate the slit strips, enabling them to be rewound into narrower coils efficiently. Due to the continuous contact with sharp metal edges, these discs must possess superior wear resistance and a smooth surface to ensure stable and long-term performance.

    Production application:

Our separator discs are engineered for use in steel slitting lines, working in tandem with other slitting tools. Positioned on the machine shaft, they keep narrow strips properly aligned after slitting, helping ensure neat, accurate coil rewinding. Since they are subject to frequent friction during operation, the material and surface finish must meet high durability standards.

    Material Options and Customization:

We manufacture separator discs using high-performance steels such as AISI 52100 (GCr15), 9CrSi, and 1.2379 (SKD-11). The discs undergo polishing and chrome plating treatments, enhancing both surface hardness and resistance to abrasion.
